Inspiring landscape architecture and some unexpected animal encounters: this year's office trip took us to the Bavarian capital. Our team hit the road together once again. From glorious sunshine to a little drizzle, we explored Munich's exciting open spaces, innovative residential neighbourhoods and forward-thinking urban development projects. Our itinerary included the ORPLID residential development, the Baumkirchen ecological conservation area and the Macherei urban quarter. A special highlight awaited us in the Werksviertel district: alongside fascinating insights into sustainable urban development, we enjoyed a chance to meet and pet the sheep on the rooftop urban pasture! Further stops on our tour included the former Paulaner brewery site, Prinz-Eugen-Park and Domagkpark. A fresh perspective came with our guided tour of Tomás Saraceno's exhibition “Interwoven Worlds” at the Haus der Kunst – an inspiring change from our landscape architecture explorations. Our conclusion: Munich has much more to offer than beer gardens and pretzels! We look back on a memorable weekend filled with new impressions, inspiring conversations and great team spirit.
