New Building Sports hall, Schömberg

The new building of the sports hall is placed at the edge of the slope along the edge of the forest. Between the access road, the existing hall and the new building, the parking is compactly arranged between the edge of the forest and the open outdoor space. Rows of trees structure the parking, provide shade, frame visual references and views, and form the transition from the edge of the forest to the open outdoor space. The skate park is integrated between the rows of trees and the parking area. The rows of trees run out into groups of trees in the open space, and groups of trees are also planted around the sports hall, the nucleus for a uniform open space design for a possible future expansion of the areas with further uses and buildings, as well as a transition to the trees in the forest. 

The forecourt of the sports hall is divided into an arrival area, the foyer area with stairs and the meeting and gymnastics area with a basement course for gymnastics, climbing, hanging and balancing. The staircase offers elevated seating, provides a view and a meeting place to see and be seen, as does the gymnastics and climbing area, which also functions as a stage and a conclusion to the forecourt.
