The original play area in Weißenburgpark in the Stuttgart-Süd district (Bopser district) was created in 1961 in the course of the Federal Garden Show. As part of the redesign, the old toilet house was dismantled to provide a view of the city from the park's hill. In the centre of the facility, a large wooden climbing playground with numerous exercise offers has been created. There is also a children's play area with a water feature and seating for parents and children. The colour scheme of the playground equipment can be seen from the different viewing sides. The slope was planted with trees and supplemented by a tube slide. The edging of the playing area in the form of a mosaic paving wave, the seating blocks made of red sandstone and the entire paving were made from the existing material available on site.
