The fourth phase of the construction of the educational campus III includes the construction of a new refectory, which is located under a square framed by six buildings of the educational campus.
The entrance to the cafeteria is located between two ellipses rising towards the center. While the eastern entrance is dedicated to staff, guests can access the dining area through the larger western entrance. The ellipses are designed as quiet lawns with varying slopes, which can also be used by students. Similar to the other plazas on the educational campus, large conifers were planted here as well. The pines flank the dining hall mounds on their southern border. For a possible shuttle operation with buses, a special lane was created on the square surface from concrete block slabsin close coordination with the manufacturer of the slabs. Two courtyards were created for both staff and guests.
While the inner courtyard of the employees is rather intended for sunlight to reach the preparation rooms, the inner courtyard of the guest room can also be used as a lounge. Because of the pathways from the parking garages to the university buildings, special care had to be taken here to ensure that the plaza was completed in time for the start of the semester. The building was to open one semester later. This construction phase was also completed on time and within budget.
